Alba Uno Hotel

Kind staff. Big room and bed is only slightly below average (small, like most in Cebu) The A/C sounds like a jet engine which makes this hotel totally unlivable, how can people sleep here, let alone leave positive reviews???? The relief I felt after checking into another hotel with a real and silent A/C was immense.

The air conditioning system was not optimal. There was no remote control and no automatic mode, it was only ON or OFF, and it was not very quiet. Also, if you want to take a shower after check-out, you have to pay 750 PHP, which I find quite excessive. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the location is good and convenient.

We booked the room through Booking.com. We paid extra to get a double bed, but the staff told us they were not sure if we would actually get a double bed and that they would “try their best.” So what was the point of paying more? When we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist said something very random. I didn’t know that “Me Julie” was someone’s name. So maybe my name is a dog’s name too? It was very confusing and…

Rooms were surprisingly spacious and well-maintained. Good working aircon, large bed and heated shower is a plus. Very near to IT park so highly recommendable for business trips. Only issues are the muddy/rocky walkway from main road to hotel. And no table in room for dining/working.

The Aircon worked well. The bed, pillows and blanket were all good too. Shower was decent. Not warm, but not too cold. The staff were all very good and went above and beyond. Overall, this is a great choice vs other hotels in the same price range.
