AltaVista Beach Resort

Excellent clean and well-maintained resort with good amenities. Also windy. If you got lucky it's very high tide like we experienced, you'd have great swimming experience. I wish on next trip here there will be clothes hook at shower area.

We had a horrible experience with this accommodation. Despite booking one of the most expensive rooms, the environment was extremely loud due to nonstop videoke and super loud music that went on almost 24/7. We booked months in advance, (June 2025) when we arrived at the venue for check-in around 3-4pm we were told that the room we booked WAS NOT AVAILABLE. And said that the room was given to another set of guests with the reason that it is “double booked” causing conflict with their system. As an Ironman participant, I regret to say that I did not enjoy my stay due to the poor treatment we received from your front desk staff, and also because we were not welcomed in the same way as other participants.
