Anda Poseidon's Beach Resort

I stayed 3 nights in the Deluxe bungalow, located up the hill 2 min walk from the main resort area. The bungalow is amazing - brand new, lots of space, big terrace, own kitchen etc. Really great value for the price. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The road to the resort is bit rough, I recommend renting a motorbike to get around the Anda area.

Starting off negative to get it out of the way...we spoke with the owner over the phone the morning before we arrived. He said there were two pools and beachside rooms for $1800 php. There is ONE double bed room for $1800 php that is facing right along the beach, and there are two pools, however that is on a different part of the property up the hill from the beach and you do not get to use them unless you pay more…

Okay so location is amazing, right on the beach, the resort has 2 private beaches where you can swim which is the best thing about this place. But, service was horrible. The main guy worker has such an attitude problem, other female workers are nice. I waited 1 and a half hours from ordering breakfast to getting it, also dinner took like 50 minutes. One of the nicest beaches I’ve visited. The horizon line is perfect for watching the sun come up and go down. If you appreciate natural beauty and a great view, you won’t be disappointed. Pure bliss.

Deceptive marketing.. Things they don't tell you before you pay a non refundable room. The pool is only available to some rooms, they are up the hill and far away .. the shared bathrooms for the other huts are not exactly shared... they are, for all intensive purposes Public. I was unable to secure a refund... but walked out anyway... I refuse to give them one more pesos. My advice.....JUST DONT.

I had a wonderful stay here, and the staff made me feel very welcome, particularly Leo & Theresa. Coming home one night in a tuk-tuk in the pouring rain, Theresa came out to meet me with an umbrella - I don’t think you would get that kind of care & service at a 5 star hotel, it was really lovely. Travelers who have lived in a country house will probably find it quite nice. The staff are friendly, and the food is decent. The road to the resort is bumpy and there is no proper transportation.
