The Belmont hotel located in Cebu is in a great location, has a great private beach area but that’s all. As soon as we got into our room (1003) the toilet was leaking and didn’t flush properly. The next day the shower was blocked and flooded the whole shower floor + some of the bathroom ground. We also didn’t receive the correct towels for both days we asked the room to be made. This used to be a good but not great hotel at ~$60 a night. Recently it's become an absurdity at almost three times that price. I would not recommend this hotel at this time. There appears to be a lack of proper maintenance, which is unfortunately a common issue once properties age. This hotel is no exception. I’ve read all the reviews here and they must be for a different hotel to the one we stayed in. The rooms are clean but small and basic. It’s a 15 minute walk to the beach that is also shared with several other hotels around here. Due to this it’s very busy and has barely any sun-beds to cope with that amount of people.
