Crowded because there were not enough hotels in the area being a new development. Elevators take forever. The line at checkin got a little heated and long. Nothing really around the hotel. Limited choices of restaurants and things to do. Pool and so-so beach is walkable and has a free shuttle. Also crowded. See above. Room was nice. Great view of the ocean. Close to the airport and away from the chaos of downtown Ce…

Is the name of the hotel Mercure or Belmont? Regardless of the name, it's hard to recommend anyone to stay here at this hotel. Service: Service is by far the best thing about this hotel. All staff members are extremely friendly and nice. They do seem genuine and always greet you with a smile. However, one criticism I do have is they need to be more proactive and forward thinking. For example, when we dined for break…
We had a 3 day stay here at Belmont/Mercure Hotel in Mactan. Staff were all so wonderful. We were greeted professionally. Our room was very clean and felt like home away from home. It was my first time visiting Cebu/Mactan. My wife and I enjoyed their breakfast and room service snacks. The morning staff who were assisting on the breakfast buffet were all very helpful and always showing their pearly white smile! We e…
Kind of confused by some of the one star reviews. This hotel is a pretty decent 3-star hotel. Nothing fancy, but clean and modern. Not perfect though - about 5 of the 60 cable channels actually work and all of the smart functions of the smart TV have been disabled (I don't know why hotels don't just allow you to connect to your own YouTube or Netflix accounts, especially when the cable TV channels provided don't wor…
The Belmont hotel located in Cebu is in a great location, has a great private beach area but that’s all. As soon as we got into our room (1003) the toilet was leaking and didn’t flush properly. The next day the shower was blocked and flooded the whole shower floor + some of the bathroom ground. We also didn’t receive the correct towels for both days we asked the room to be made. I would not recommend anyone staying…
This used to be a good but not great hotel at ~$60 a night. Recently it's become an absurdity at almost three times that price. The aircon does not work well enough to keep ANY room cool during the day. I've stayed in many rooms here, they all underperform at cooling and nothing can be done. It's musky and humid in most rooms. The buffet is bad as is common in this country. Poor food selection, cold and cheap qualit…
I would not recommend this hotel at this time. There appears to be a lack of proper maintenance, which is unfortunately a common issue once properties age. This hotel is no exception. During one stay, the rain shower released solid, sand-like particles directly onto my head and body. Shortly after, the shower head failed completely and stopped working, leaving me covered in debris. We had no choice but to change roo…
I’ve read all the reviews here and they must be for a different hotel to the one we stayed in. The rooms are clean but small and basic. It’s a 15 minute walk to the beach that is also shared with several other hotels around here. Due to this it’s very busy and has barely any sun-beds to cope with that amount of people. Breakfast is good and the staff are friendly but that’s about it in terms of positivity. The pool…
