I stayed at Capsule Malapascua and overall had a good experience. The location is very convenient—right beside the road, so it’s easy to find and access. What I really appreciated most was the privacy. Even though it’s a hostel-style setup, the capsule design gives you your own personal space, which I loved. That said, you can still hear noises from outside or if other guests are loud, so light sleepers might want t…

Unfortunately, breakfast at Capsule Malapascua was disappointing. The portions were surprisingly small, and the prices on the menu simply didn’t translate to the serving sizes we received. We expected much better value for what we paid. The waiting time was also excessive. It took almost 45 minutes just to be served a simple plate of vegetable fried rice, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. For such…
The Capsule Hotel itself is fine: the facilities are good, the capsules are comfortable, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, this positive aspect is completely overshadowed by the behavior of the owner, who I found to be very unfriendly and disrespectful. Upon arrival, we were supposed to get three lower beds. One bed was still occupied, which was not a problem, but we were promised that we would…
Nice place to stay, the capsule concept is cool, but the main dorm room is too cold (other guests agreed) and the bathrooms are too hot and soooo humid (you can feel it and see it by the rust present in a lot of places). Besides that, it felt quite clean, the common area is cool, but they also charge 20pesos for water refill… it’s the first time in the Philippines that I see a hostel charging for water, I find it a…
I had the best experience staying at Capsule Hotel in Malapascua. I got stuck on the island because of the storm, and the staff truly went above and beyond for me. They helped with every little thing, checked in on me, and were genuinely some of the kindest, most caring people I’ve met while traveling. They even upgraded my room from a single to a double for free! The food at the hostel is really good, and after I c…
This hotel is amazing. They are located right in the heart of everything, the staff are super friendly, there is very good internet connection and a very nice social chill area. The pods give you a bit more privacy. You have your own air conditioning and lights. The travellers visiting the hostel are lovely people too. The hotel staff also helped me out in an emergency for which I am very thankful. I can recommend 1…
The place is clean and tidy! The paid services are nice, though relatively expensive. The bed temperature can't be adjusted, but the fan speed can. Everyone has a locker with a lock. However, the downside is that during a power outage, you can't enter the room!! Because you need a card to enter! This means that after diving and getting covered in seawater, you can only sit in the lobby for hours!! This is very incon…
My girlfriend and I have been traveling for a 5 months now and this by far was the best place we stayed. We were only initially suppose to stay 2 or 3 nights but after our first night we extended and stayed for a week. Cleanest space by 1000 miles. Starlink internet so it was almost too fast at times😅. The VIP rooms were, well, VIP. Give it a go for at least one night. You won’t regret it!!
