The aircon is quite dusty and there service employees are not accommodating, they don't clean the room thoroughly even the cr got molds on each side even we ask to clean it. The hotel is more like a dormitory for students. The prices are affordable but it comes with some drawbacks too. Cons: 1. Not at downtown. In fact, it is quite a distance from areas like Makati and Poblacion. Dining options for eating out are very limited too. 2. Questionable cleanliness. I killed 3 cockroaches during my 3-day stay. 3. Location is pretty good especially it's within U-belt however, I've been in two room and both rooms lost power. It was during bar exam season when I was taking a shower. Had to cut my shower short and go to the exam site. Wi-Fi is bad. Slow and inconsistent, even a whole day without internet. Teacher's Board last Oct 1st. The hotel Red Doorz at 1318 Castans St, Sampaloc Manila did not served breakfast to several teachers who checked in. The front desk personnel said its too early, they serve breakfast at 6am. Since the charges are inclusive of breakfast the Exec Chef should have prep a sandwich/coffee that does not require cooking. Brand new hotel that is super convenient (if your family lives in the area as mine does) and the price is around $30 USD a night as of 2022 which is reasonable. Service staff even remembered me after I came here two months later. Friendly guys!
If you're looking for a place to stay at sampaloc. I highly recommend this place because of the good quality service and also the staff are very friendly and accommodating.
