I'm a relatively unfussy traveller however our time at 8hostel wasn't great, even keeping in consideration the budget cost. The area is sketchy. We arrived at night and I would recommend getting a grab and not walking at night. I'm glad I wasn't alone as a woman and staying with my partner. During the day it's ok to get around. I booked a private double room for 3 days through there website.As soon as we entered the hostel we can experience the smell of insecticides.The room so small, cockroach on the wall,the toilet was leaking too.The ac was not working and was a horrible experience. What I liked about our stay at 8 hostel was definitely approachable staff with good service, quiet ,clean rooms and also convenient and very accessible location. As someone that worked in the hospitality industry I can say that the staff have provided a strong commitment to guest satisfaction.
