I did not like this hotel. Yes, the rooms are nice, the amenities are not. They charge extra for everything (even for using the gym!). The staff is nice (but most Filipinos are). I had a really pleasant stay at Istorya Forest Garden resort in Roxas and would happily stay here again. The hotel transfer was smooth, coming in at Roxas airport at 6am. I was met on arrival by the driver who transported me and my luggage in a comfortable Toyota van. The property is huge, but there are no signs showing where to go or where the lobby is. The hotel was completely empty. The manager told me several contradictory things: first that the hotel was fully booked, then that it was under maintenance , and later that she couldn’t rent us just one room, only a minimum of two rooms. The room is not clean. The bathroom floor still visibly dirty with hairs everywhere, we needed to inform the housekeeping for cleaning. Their brunch buffet is not advertised correctly. Even though its 9-12, they stop refills by 11. We were not informed of this rule.

I loved my stay at Istorya! The place is simply amazing and it is so nice with all the greenery and vegetation. The rooms are really nice and large. The staff was also fantastic and super accommodating and helpful. Food in the main restaurant is also great and has many classic Filipino dishes as well as pasta and modern takes on food as well.
