We came for the Panagbenga 2026 festival and chose this hotel because it is supposed to be the best luxury hotel in Baguio. However, the only luxury part was the price tag. The hotel interior is outdated, ugly, and worn. It probably hasn’t been refreshed since 2001, when the hotel opened. What guests say
John Hay Hotels is probably the best hotel in Baguio. The interiors of this hotel is like a large log cabin complete with a fireplace. There's a nice gym and sauna here. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The restaurant is award winning and the bakery has delicious cakes and pastries.
Attentive staff, decent lobby and room, food was ok, but they really need to double down on tending to details- toilet seat and sink faucet loose and wobbly- minor annoyances. Room door did not fully close, and you don't realize it- serious security issue. Ordered room service for dinner one night, salt provided in a small bowl, with chunks of some black contaminant. Gotta sign a receipt to borrow an umbrella- ridic…
The hotel is amazing big,The service is kind and the food a beyond amazing, but I gave 4 stars because of the prices They are a bit overprized for just a steak But overall Its a 4.6
The place is really superb, added to its awesome service. Staffs are really good, courteous and helpful. one thing though they should be offering breakfast as well with the room. That will draw people more. For Christmas vibes though, it is good but if they can add more just like before that would be awesome to the next level. Anyway we enjoyed our stay adn the food was good.
Though our room was located on the 3rd floor, it would be great to have a lock on the balcony sliding or screen door to enhance the feeling of safety. Overall, our stay was really good, perhaps just a touch of room fragrance could help make the space feel fresher. Definitely we will be back!
A Memorable Year-End Experience at Forest Lodge Baguio Our group, JD-3C, had the pleasure of holding our year-end activity at one of Forest Lodge’s elegant hotel suites and their exclusive helipad area, and it was truly an experience to remember. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and professionalism. The suite was clean, spacious, and beautifully furnished, offering a cozy yet refined ambiance…
The rooms were really nice but the service was horrible my daughter was asking for hot chocolate and the waitress completely ignored and forgot her order. Our first night looking for dinner the hotel restaurant was so crowded you have to wait 40 minutes we had to eat in a different hotels restaurant. 2 stars
