One of the best crispy Kare-Kare I've tasted. I usually eat Kare-Kare, if my mother and sister cooks it. This one is on the sweeter, nuttier and thicker side. So if you plan to make patis, calamansi, sili dipping sauce, better make more or dip it more, as the richness and taste of the sauce is hard to beat. Value for the money. Definitely will order it again. Highly recommended.
Very disappointing experience at Kapitan’s. Being charged a service fee would’ve been understandable if there was actual service, but we literally had to get things ourselves — even the calamansi wasn’t prepared and had to be requested from the counter. The staff also came across as unwelcoming. What made it worse was refusing a valid PWD soft copy despite the QR code being verifiable. Customers deserve better treat…
Food was good but the service? 👎 Asked for another pitcher of water and the server who's wearing glasses just stared at me and did not provide any. Asked again politely and he pretended that he did not hear us.
Hands down one of the best crispy kare-kare! Loved the vibe and the warm hospitality of the staff. The place is Instagram-worthy too, and definitely worth the price.
I am now convinced that there are two phases in life: BEFORE Kapitan's Liwa's Kare-Kare and AFTER Kapitan's Liwa's Kare-Kare. Dined-in to this place to just try their famous Kare-Kare and I left this place a changed man. Somehow, the world felt a much nicer place knowing that Kare-kare this amazing exists. You haven't lived life if you haven't tried it!
If you want your mind blown, try this restaurant. It charges a 5% service fee even though it’s self-service. 🤭🤭
