The owner is one of the nicest people I have ever met. They genuinely care about their guests and you can really feel that. Location is great as well, directly in front of Tuason surfspot.
We were misled by some reviews on here and Booking. The bed sheets and towels seemed washed but had stains, and I had to find a clean spot to sleep. The service and staff were friendly and helpful, but the cottages are small, with ants inside and even a couple of small scorpions found in one cottage. The floors have gaps that let insects in. We had a great stay at Marahuyo. The cabins are definitely rustic but are clean and clutter free. The AC unit and fan kept us nice and cool after a day in the sun. Upon booking the host was honest about the loud music coming from the neighboring resort on Saturday nights. We were prepared for this and slept just fine. We were able to rent scooters directly from the host.
