Microtel by Wyndham was a wonderful place to stay. The rooms were comfortable, the service was great, and the beachfront view was beautiful and relaxing. While the beach may not be ideal for swimming because of its muddy sand, that really comes down to personal preference. If you’d rather not swim in the sea, the pool is a great alternative. Overall, it’s a great choice for a peaceful beachfront getaway.
Don‘t fall for the influencer videos. The place is old and nasty. It reeks. Rooms are nasty and bathrooms just yuck! Their AC is maybe from the 1970s ultra loud so be prepared to not sleep. The beach is a joke. I left after one night they don’t even refund this overpriced nonsense. Location is also bad - really far from town, roads are closed. One cannot even escape the bad food they offer.
The staff are so friendly. Norman the general manager is very kind. I really enjoyed my stay. The location by the water is beautiful. However if you are trying to walk around to find shops and restaurants this is not where the mainstream streets are. If you want a relaxing time away from loud city noises. Then this is the place. we were a little disappointed with our stay given that microtel/wyndham hotels are pretty credible and renowned in the industry. the rooms and bathrooms were dated, pillows were uncomfortable, and the cabinets were pretty old. the tv models looked like it was never upgraded since they opened in 2009. food was expensive but portions were so small/little. location is very secluded with little to do. tricycles will cos…
This by far is the coolest place to stay. You can walk right out to the beach from your room. Even an amazing view from your door. The people here are amazing and kind. Clean rooms, great food and a killer beach surrounded by mangroves. They have lots space to lounge around by the pool while enjoying a delicous cocktail. A great guy playing live music. I wish i could leave 20 stars for such a jaw dropping experience…
