Ramon’s Homestay

We shared a cultural experience at Ramones Homestay. The people at the resort were friendly and kind. We walked the rice fields , was shown the process of how the rice is grown right to the drying of the rice. The cultural garments are a step back in time and very interesting to understand how the tribes survived. What a beautiful experience. Thank you your Canadian travellers

We stayed in an Ifugao Hut, and I got a lot of insect bites. So I can't really say that the experience was worth it. There are current construction on site and from the looks of it would be obstructing the view of the rice terraces. Ramon was very warm and welcoming. I give him that. However, we did not get to experience the wearing of traditional tribal outfits as promised.

Absolutely amazing stay! Ramon is a wonderful host, and his hospitality and genuine passion for sharing his culture is unmatched. He goes out of his way to personally talk to every guest and make sure they have an amazing experience in Batad. I visited Batad twice in the past year and stayed at Mang Ramon's Homestay both times. The rooms and toilet are very basic but the hospitality they offer is amazing. Home-cooked meals are delicious too.
