Our stay at the private house restaurant and resort in Calatagan, Batangas was overall okay, especially if your main goal is peace and quiet. The location is near the edge of Calatagan, which is actually a plus since it’s far from the usual crowds and gives a more private, relaxed atmosphere. However, it also felt like the place isn’t fully managed yet. Some areas, like the plants and grass, looked a bit neglected,…

When I first arrived, the place looked good. The front reception looks like an expensive resort in another country. And the staff were friendly and kind. Although, it lacked amenities especially for it's price such as pillows, blanket tv, and etc. For the beach, it was low tide most of the time (as of march 2026). There wasn't a rinsing area either after going to the beach, so your rooms could get messy with sand af…
Just to give an idea who will be travelling here, manage your expectation. The view to beach is beautiful. To name a few draw backs, the beach is not swimmable as it has formation of rocks and its so rough. We literally was not able to swim in this beach. Food and drinks has corkage. Doing ihaw-ihaw has corkage. Food is pricey inside There is an outdoor bar near the place that is so loud even on 1am. No hot and cold…
The place is gorgeous, it's very near the beach. The only downside is their island-hopping tour, which is not really island hopping but beach hopping instead; it's not worth the price or the promised activity. Very disappointing.
Staff are very nice. The facility itself is huge. We went during a typhoon we had the whole place for ourselves. Every corner is aesthetic, good for photoshoot or if plannong to shoot some film.
This place was pretty much OK. would never return, but also, it's not like some appalling experience. Kind of a haunted house gets remodeled into beach hotel and then they modify shipping containers for more rooms even though when we stayed we were the only guests. The beach gets locked at 6pm and don't even try to swim there. It's like a rock garden. But overall, can't really HATE on the place haha
Pros: The place is excellent for large groups. Rooms are spacious and well air-conditioned. Bathrooms are clean and well-maintained, with towels and toiletries provided. Generous parking space—can likely accommodate over 50 cars. The pool is pleasantly warm and perfect for night swimming. Kuya Chef was very friendly and accommodating. Cons: The beach isn’t suitable for swimming; the water remained ankle-deep through…
I highly recommend this place!!! 1. They provide plenty of towels and blankets, with each guest receiving two sets of towels. 2. The pool is well-maintained, and the water temperature is just right—not too cold. My son had a great time swimming. 3. The house was absolutely stunning! Originally an old mansion, it has been beautifully converted into a resort. The rooms are spacious and clean. While the bathroom could…
