The Secret Hut

Doesn't have proper toilets and showers. A bit run-down of a place. Nice layout and garden landscape though. Would have been bearable to stay if not for the toilets/shower rooms. Checked out the next/2nd day of our 4 days 3 nights.

The photos in the listing are outdated, and the property is poorly maintained. I booked for two nights but checked out after one because it wasn’t suitable for relaxing or unwinding. We went there for the first time and what’s good about this place was only the pool, but somehow it was still poorly maintained. The “tambay area” was very dangerous—the floor feels like it only needed one step to break and fall into ruins. They only even have one staff but still not there all the time—although i dont really mind about the staff’s. There was also no trash cans anywhere. Ants are all over the place,…

Looks better in pictures. In reality, it's poorly maintained. Rooms are too tiny, the common areas, including the pool, are quite dirty, and there are lots of ants everywhere. It looks relaxing in pictures but we were so stressed with the cleanliness of the place and how hot it was so we checked out early.

This place is definitely not for everybody but if you're like us who are looking to commune with nature and animals rather than people, this is just a gem! Don't come here if you're looking for a hotel experience as this is more like comfortable camping.

The Secret Hut truly gives you comfort and serenity– especially if you're someone who loves peace & solitude. I love the trees that surround the rooms and the fact that it also has additional information about them, really informative.
