Thresher Shack

Overall the hostel was good for the price paid. Mainly for divers, but anyone can stay. Rooms were clean, but felt unbearably hot throughout the night. Easily over 32° inside the rooms at all times with no aircon. Otherwise, everything was good.

I loved this clean and super convenient hotel. The beach is just next to the hotel which is also connected to a bar next door with live music. Opposite to the inn, it is Divelink Malapascua dive shop, super friendly dive shop. One location, you can get everything you need. Although the aircon is really noisy, I always turn it on for a while to cool down the room then switch it off. Not an issue to me.

Despite the negative reviews, I had a very good stay. We can jave different experiences huh? I guess, they're not consistent, especially because of the weather and they're mostly fully booked. Nice rooms for a good price. You can also do all your scuba diving through the hostel. Awesome divemasters and great diving center.

Hello! I stayed here and went diving with thresher sharks, cat island and night diving. It was a beauty and the hostel manager and the diving school were always very helpful, everything was run by Filipinos which makes a difference if you want to contribute to the local economy.
